97 Know all men by these presents that I William Kilty of Anne Arundel County being willing and desirous to set free my negroe woman slave named Margaret who is of a healthy constitution and sound in mind and body capable by Labour to procure sufficient food and Raiment with other requisite necessaries of life Have manumitted and set free and by these presents do manumit and set free the said negroe woman slave named margaret As witness my hand and seal this thirtieth day of May Eighteen hundred and one Signed sealed and delivered In the presence of William Kilty (seal) Frederick Grammar E. Brookes On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Anne Arundel County ss May 30.th 1801 the within named William Kilty appeared before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the said County and acknowledged the within writing to be his act and deed acknowledged before Recorded 11 November 1801 Allen Quynn
