96 in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one and I do hereby for myself and all claiming by with or under me release discharge acquit manumit enfranchise and set free from slavery and my service the aforesaid black woman named Luckey mulatto girl named Matilda and mulatto boy named James from all and every claim and claims of slavery or servitude whatsoever from this fifth day of November eighteen hundred and one In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of November one thousand eight hundred and one Signed Sealed and delivered In the presence of us as Witnesses thereto William T Yeldell (seal) Alex.r Martin Andrew Price On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Received November 5.th 1801 the sum of two hundred dollars current money for the consideration within mentioned witness Alex.r Martin William T. Yeldell Andrew Price Ann Arundel County to wit on the fifth day of November 1801 William Thomas Yeldell personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the within named slaves a black woman called Luckey and her two children a Girl called Matilda and Boy called James to be manumitted and set free from slavery and his service and the service of all and every person or persons whatever agreeably to the act of assembly Recorded 6 November 1801 Allen Quynn |
