95 following negro Slaves to wit, negro John Gold aged thirty seven years and Jane his wife aged Thirty five or Thirty six years and do by these presents declare the aforesaid John and Jane to be free and released from my service forever after the date hereof In witness whereof I have this 19th day of November 1801 set my name and affixed my seal Witness Joseph Stansbury (seal) H. Dorsey Mary Dorsey On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Anne Arundel County ss On the 19.th day of Nov.r 1801 Joseph Stansbury of the County afs.d appeared before me and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed acknowledged before Recorded 26 Nov.r 1801 Henry Hall Dorsey
for myself and all claiming under me for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby manumit emancipate and set free from slavery and discharge from my service and the service of all and every person or persons whatever the following slaves to wit a black or coloured woman called and known by the name of Luckey aged about twenty one years and her two children a mulatto girl called and named Matilda and a mulatto boy called and named James to be free on this fifth day of November in |
