woman Slave called Luckey or Luckey Hanson hath evinced towards my late mother M.rs Mary Dulany do hereby manumit set free and discharge from my service and the service of all persons claiming under me the said negroe woman Luckey and her male child called Thomas from the first day of October in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and nine after which day I do hereby for myself and all claiming under me release and discharge the said Luckey and her child Thomas from Slavery. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30.th day of Oct.r in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and one Signed Sealed and delivered In the presence The words "under me" being Walter Dulany (seal) first interlined James Mackubin Robert Welch Jun.r On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Ann Arundel County to wit On the 30th day of Oct.r came ^Walter Dulany^ before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County and acknowledged the above instrument of writing as his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned acknowledged before Recorded 3rd November 1801 James Mackubin Exd Anne Arundel County sc.t To all whom it may concern now know ye that I Joseph Stansbury of the County aforesaid and State of Maryland do for divers good considerations and other good causes manumit and set free the |
