9 after the first day of January next manumit set free & forever Discharge from my service the said negro woman Sibb alias Sibbora alias Siberia that is to say it is my will and the intent of these presents that the said woman shall serve me and be considered as my slave untill the first day of January next and no Longer and that from and after that time she shall be free to all intents and purposes any Act which I may hereafter do to the Contrary notwithstanding In witness whereof I do hereby set my hand and affix my seal this twenty fourth day of May in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and ninety seven Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence and with the approbation of Thomas Wilson (Seal) A. C. Hanson Chan.r Robert Peters Ann Arundel County to wit, on the twenty fifth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Thomas Wilson personally appeared before the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the County aforesaid and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the Negro within mentioned to be manumitted and set free on the first day of January next agreeably to the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Allen Quynn Recorded 31 May 1797
