83 On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t A A County then Came James Usher before me one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and Acknowledged the above to be his Act & Deed for the true purpose and meaning thereof Recorded 22 July 1801 Rich.d Harrison Ex.d
good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of the sum of five shillings Current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery Liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free the following negroes to wit Murrhea, Harry & James and them the said Murrhea, Harry and James I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and Discharged from all manner of Servitude or Service to me my Executors or Administrators forever In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of Leonard Scott (Seal) James Mackubin Robert Welch Junr (On) |
