76 now of the City of Annapolis in the said State do hereby manumit liberate and set free the following negroes at the respective periods herein after mentioned to wit I manumit liberate and set free from the first day of October in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and seven a Certain negro man named Charles Pembroke son of Sukey Pembroke and I hereby manumit liberate or set free from the first day of October in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fourteen a Certain negro boy named Towerhill Pembroke son of the aforesaid Sukey Pembroke at which respective Periods above mentioned the said negroes are to be liberated and Discharged from Slavery In Testimony whereof I have to these presents set and affixed my hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of november in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred Signed Sealed & Delivered Walter D Addison (Seal) in the presence of Samuel Ridout James Mackubin On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Ann Arundel County be it remembered that on the 26 day of november 1800 in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the aforesaid County the within mentioned Walter D Addison and acknowledged the within instrument of writing as his Act and Deed according to the purposes therein mentioned Recorded 26 november 1800 James Mackubin |
