On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t
State of Maryland sct  On the twenty fifth day of October
in the year of our Lord 1799 personally appeared before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for
Ann Arundel County Doct Richard Hopkins party to the
above instrument of writing who acknowledged the said
Instrument to be his Act and Deed and the signature
and Seal thereto annexed to be respectively his
Recorded 14 November 1799         Henry Hall Dorsey

negro Harriett
 State of Maryland sct  Know all Men

by these presents that I Allen Quynn
of the City of Annapolis in the County of Ann Arundel
for Sundry good Causes and Considerations me
hereunto moving Do hereby set free from bondage my
negro Girl Slave Hariott from the date hereof and do
for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators
release all my right and all claim whatsoever without
any interruption from me or any person claiming
under me  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this 16th day of november one
thousand seven hundred and ninety nine
