56 Service or right of property whatsoever from me my heirs Executors or administrators As witness my hand and Seal this sixteenth day of September seventeen hundred and ninety nine Signed Sealed & Delivered Ebenezer Pumphrey (seal) in presence of James Mackubin Robert Welch On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Vizt Ann Arundel County sct On the 16 day of September 1799 Then Came Ebenezer Pumphrey before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid & acknowledged the above Instrument of writing to be his act & Deed according to Act of Assembly James Mackubin Recorded 16 Sept 1799
my two negro Slaves named Sarah Cheston and her Infant Daughter Harriett Cheston and do for myself my Executors and Administrators release unto the said Sarah and Harriett Cheston all my right and all claim whatsoever as to their persons or to any Estate they may acquire hereby Declaring the said Sarah & Harriett absolutely free without any interruption from me or any person claiming under me In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this twenty fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety nine Sealed & Delivered in presence of Henry Hall Dorsey Richard Hopkins (Seal) Mary Dorsey (On) |
