50 one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine Test James Mackubin W.m Coe (Seal) Robert Welch On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t July 26.th 1799 Received ten pounds Maryland Currency of William Berbeck being the full consideration money for the within instrument of writing Test James Mackubin Wm Coe (Seal) July 26.th 1799 Ann Arundel County to wit Then Came before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the said County William Coe party to the within Instrument of writing & Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro Man within named to be henceforth Discharged from all service to him or to any claiming under him and to be free according to the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged before James Mackubin Recorded July 26 1799
negro Man named Philip and do for myself my Executors and Administrators release unto the said Philip when he arrives at the age of twenty one years all my right and all claim whatsoever as to his person or to any Estate he may acquire hereby Declaring the said Philip when he shall arrive at the Age of twenty one years absolutely free without any interruption from me or any other person or persons whatsoever |
