thereto induced by Divers good Causes and Considerations Do by these presents Liberate manumit set free and full & perfect Liberty and freedom give and grant to the following negro slaves named Valentine, Pomprey, Ned, Nick, Bill, Sarah and Andrew to Commence and take place from the day of the date of these presents And I do also Liberate manumit set free and full and perfect Liberty & freedom give and grant unto my negro woman named Poll, after the expiration of two years from the date of these presents and the issue of the said woman named Poll born after the date hereof I hereby Liberate and set free from the day of their respective births And I the said Lucy Dorsey do hereby Disclaim any right or Title to the said negro Slaves or their increase or to the profits of their Labour and do disavow any right or Title Devised by from or under me the said Lucy Dorsey or to any person or persons whatsoever to the said negroes or either or any of them or their increase or to the profits of their Labour after the expiration of two years service of my woman named Poll as aforesaid In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal the day & year first above mentioned Signed Sealed & Delivered in presence of Lucy Dorsey (Seal) Henry Ridgely Caleb Pine On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Vizt Ann Arundel County sct On the 13 day of april 1799 personally |
