On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Vizt
Ann Arundel County sct  On the fifteenth day of February in
the year of our Lord 1799 personally appeared before me the
Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County
aforesaid Robert Shipley party to the within instrument of
writing who acknowledged the said instrument to be his
Act and Deed and the signature and Seal thereto annexed
to be respectively his Acknowledged before

 Maryland sct  To all whom these presents

shall come Greeting I Caleb Hipsley for
Divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto
moving do hereby Declare free manumit & enfranchise
the negro following to wit Negro wesley aged four
years to be free when he arrives at the age of twenty
one years hereby acknowledging the said negro discharged
from all Claim of Service and right of property whatever
from me my heirs Executors or Administrators As
witness my hand and seal this first day of april in the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety
nine
