Ann Arundle Coty sct  Be it remembered that on the 12.th
December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and ninety eight personally appeared
before me one of the Justices of the peace for the
County aforesaid Ann Stinchecomb party to the within
Instrument of writing and Acknowledged the said
Instrument to be her Act and Deed according to the
true intent and meaning thereof & according to the
Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided

hereby set free from bondage my Mulatto Slave
named Cassa wife to Tho.s Douglass aforesaid aged
thirty six and do for myself my heirs Executors and
Administrators release unto the above named
Mulatto Slave all my right and all claim whatsoever
to her person or to any Estate which she may acquire
hereby Declaring the said Cassa absolutely free
