14 the county aforesaid has no notable marks Issued the 14.th of may 1807 State of maryland Anne arundel county to wit Nicholas Harwood clerk of anne arundel county court Hereby certify that a negro woman named Catharine Prout who is now present and who has made application to me for a certificate of her freedom has proved by testimony which is satisfactory to me that she was free born the said Catharine Prout is about five feet two inches high and appears to be about the age of forty one years her complexion is a mulatto and was raised at the head of south river in anne arundel county aforesaid she is very much marked in the face occasioned by the small pox. Issued the 15.th of May 1807 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I Nicholas Harwood Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court Do hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern that it hath been proved to my Satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro Taratia aged about twenty years hight five feet six inches Complexion black is a free woman and that the said Negro Taratia was raised in Prince Georges County and now resides in Anne Arundel County maryland Iss.d the 2nd day of June 1807 |
