32 County aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the negro man Charles above mentioned to be manumitted and set free at the time above specified agreeably to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Allen Quynn Recorded 5th november 1798
for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving Do hereby Declare free enfranchise and manumit the negroes following to wit my negro woman Elizabeth and her child Mary and their future increase hereby acknowledging the said negroes Elizabeth and Mary and their future increase to be Discharged from all Claim of Service & right of property whatever from me my heirs Executors or Administrators As witness my hand and seal this 29.th day of November seventeen hundred & ninety eight Signed Sealed & Delivered his in presence of John ≈ Philips (Seal) James Mackubin mark Rezin Rowles On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Ann Arundel County sct On the 29 day of November 1798 personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid John Philips party to the within Instrument of writing & acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned James Mackubin Recorded 29.th Nov.r 1798 |
