305. our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of us B Harwood his James Hunter John + Smith (seal) Joseph Sands mark on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of five shillings current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Witness his B. Harwood John + Smith (seal) James Hunter mark Anne Arundel county sc.t Be it remembered that on this fifteenth day of may 1807 personally appears John Smith party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the said county and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before Recorded 15.th of may 1807 Joseph Sands To all whom it may concern be it remembered that I Richard Merriken of Anne arundel county in the State of maryland for divers good causes and consideration of 110 dollars to me in hand |
