296. from all manner of service or servitude to me my executors or administrators or assigns forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of October 1806. Signed Sealed and Delivered his in the presence of Benjamin + Drummer (seal) mark Joseph Sands on the back of the aforegoing was W.m Whittington thus endorsed Anne Arundel County to wit be it remembered that on the 27.th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six personally appeared Benjamin Drummer party to the within instrument of writing before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purpose within mentioned and negro Roscetta Drummer within named to be hence forth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or any claiming under him and to be free and manumated according to the Acts of Assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged before Joseph Sands Received on this 27.th day of October 1806 the within mentioned sum of five shillings current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned his Benjamin + Drummer mark On the 27.th of October 1806 appeared Benjamin Drummer before me and acknowledged the within to be his Act and Deed Joseph Sands Recorded 27 October 1806 |
