On the back of the aforegoing was thus Endorsed To wit
                Anne Arundel County To wit
                                           On this Eleventh day of
March eighteen hundred and Six personally appeared
the above named Charles Carroll of Carrollton before
me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace
for the County aforesaid and Acknowledged the above
instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed
             Taken before and Certified by
                                           Gideon White
Recorded the 11th of march 1806


To all whom it may Concern be it known that I
Ceasar [illegible] of ann arundel County in the State of
Maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me
thereunto moving do release from Slavery manumit
and set free the following negroes in the following
manner To wit negro nan aged about thirty seven years
to be free upon the first day of March vizt negro nance
aged about ten years to be free in year Eighteen
hundred and thirteen negro Lucy aged about eight
years to be free in the year Eighteen hundred and
fifteen negro Ceasar aged about six years to be free
