269 Anne Arundel County To wit Be it remembered that on this fourth day of March Eighteen hundred and six Personally appeared John Brice party to the within instrument of writing before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for the state of Maryland for the said County and Acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the negroes above named to be henceforth manumitted & Discharged agreeable to the times mentioned in the above manumission 3½ Gideon White Recorded the 8th of March 1806 Examd Know all men by these presents that I Charles Carroll of Carrollton of the City of annapolis for divers Considerations me hereto moving have and by these presents do Manumit and set free one mulatto woman named Nancy the wife of Daniel Mahoney also her two children named Ann and Charles and do from henceforth relinquish and renounce all Claim whatever to them and each of them. In witness whereof I have this Eleventh day of march 1806 hereto set my hand and affixed my seal Signed Sealed & delivered In the presence of Ch. Carroll of Carrollton (seal) Gideon White |
