26 On the third day May 1798 in the year of our Lord personally appeared before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid Charles Elder Senior party to the within Instrument of writing who acknowledged the said instrument to be his act and Deed and the signature & Seal thereto annexed to be respectively his 3½ Thomas Hobbs Recorded 6 June 1798
free and Discharge from my service and the service of all persons claiming under me the following negro slaves to wit one negro Man named ned otherwise called Ned Hill to be free on the eighteenth day of november eighteen hundred and three one negro woman Named Mary or Poll to be free on the first day of June Anno Domini eighteen hundred and six one negro woman named Sarah to be free on the first day of June eighteen hundred and eight and one Mulatto Child Daughter of the aforesaid Poll named Ann to be free on the first day of June Anno Domini eighteen hundred and twenty one after which respective periods I do hereby for myself and all claiming under me release and Discharge |
