252 Examd To all whom it may Concern Be it known that I Smith Price of the City of annapolis Anne Arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good Causes & Considerations ^me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration^ of one hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery, liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro Man named Zack otherwise called Zachariah Williams and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance & him the said negro Man named Zack otherwise called Zachariah Williams whom I bought of William Glover of the City County and State aforesaid I do declare to be ^henceforth^ free manumitted & discharged from all manner of Servitude or Service to me my Executors or Administrators for ever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of november in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and five Signed sealed & delivered In the presence of his Gideon White Smith + Price (seal) Samuel Cadle mark On the back of the aforegoing was thus Endorsed to Wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one hundred dollars Current money it being the full Consideration money within mentioned Witness his Samuel Cadle Smith + Price (seal) mark |
