in the year of our lord Eighteen hundred and five

On the back of the aforegoing was thus Endorsed to wit
Anne Arundel County 23 September 1805 Came John O L
Jones before me one of the Justices of the peace for the County
aforesaid and Acknowledged the above to be his Act and deed
for the true Intent and meaning thereof

       Know all men by these presents that I Thomas
Francis of Anne Arundel County and State of maryland
for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving
do declare free and infranchised the girl called
Amelia which I purchased of Ruth Dorsey in the following
manner to wit on the twenty fifth day of December
Eighteen hundred and seventeen   I do declare her free
at that time from myself my heirs Executors & administrators
& Assigns forever   As Witness my hand & Seal this thirtieth day
of September Eighteen hundred and five                         his
