238 from Bondage my negro woman named Florer aged about thirty years and do for myself my Executors & Administrators release unto the aforesaid Negro Woman named Florer all my right Tittle and Claim to her as a slave Declaring her To be absolutely free from me or any persons claiming by Her or under me. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth of July in the year eighteen hundred and five Sealed & delivered In the presence of James H Marriott William Taffen (seal) Joseph Cowman On the back of the aforegoing was thus Endorsed Viz.t On the 24th of July 1805 Came William Topping the Subscriber before me one of the Justices of Anne Arundel County and did acknowledge the within Instrument of writing and the freedom therein given To the within named Person James H Marriott Recorded 10th September 1805 Examined Maryland Sc.t To all whom these presents shall come Greeting I John H Jones of Anne Arundel County and State of maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto (moving) |
