236 hereby free manumit and Enfranchise the Negroe following to Wit Pompey aged forty four years to be free the first day of september Eighteen hundred and five Hereby Acknowledging the said negroe discharged from all Claim of Service and Right of property whatsoever from me my heirs Executors or administrators and from all other person or persons whatsoever Witness my hand and seal this twenty third day of August Eighteen hundred and five Witness Henry Childs (seal) Samuel Harrison Junr Elisha Harrison On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel County Sc.t August 23rd 1805 Then Came Henry Childs before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County and State aforesaid and acknowledged the above Instrument of writing to be his Act and deed for the true purpose and meaning thereof Samuel Harrison Jun.r Recorded 28th Augt 1805 |
