232 have released from slavery liberated manumitted & set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro boy named Henry being now of the age of eight years or thereabouts as will appear by the Bill of sale from Sarah Bayess to the said John Wheeler which is hereunto annexed & him the said negro boy named Henry I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators for ever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & five Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us the words in the fifth line "whose" and her also in further Consideration of one dollar Sarah + Wheeler (seal) current money to me paid" being first mark Interlined Lewis Duvall Edwd Pool Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one dollar Current money it being the full Consideration Money within mentioned Witness her Lewis Duvall Sarah + Wheeler (seal) Edwd Poole mark On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t State of maryland Anne Arundel County sct.
