231 Exam.d d.d Know all men by these presents that I Sarah Bowess Widow have bargained by these presents have bargained and sold to John Wheeler of the City of Annapolis Gardner my slave Henry a boy about eighteen months old my property to him and his heirs forever He paying me the aforesaid Sarah Boyess the sum of fifty seven dollars which by these presents I acknowledged to have received and I make over all my right title and interest to the above slave Henry warranting & depending the same to the aforesaid John Wheeler his heirs or Assigns from me the aforesaid Sarah Bayess my admrs Exers or Assigns forever. Given under my hand & Seal this 23rd July 1797 her In the presence of Sarah x Bayess (seal) John Harrison mark William Stevenson On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed To all whom it may Concern Be it known that I Sarah Wheeler of the City of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County & State of maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of the expressions and desire of my late husband John Wheeler under whose will I am Executrix & also in further Consideration of one dollar Current money to me paid have |
