225 Exam.d To all whom it may concern be it known that I Philip B Key of the teretory of Columbia but now of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County for divers good causes & in consideration of two hundred Dollars to me in hand paid have liberated manumitted and set free my negro man William Bowser whom I heretofore purchased of David Kerr he the said William being a hearty able bodied young man about the age of thirty years ^and^ able to gain a sufficient livelyhood and maintainance & by these presents do hereby Liberate manumit & set free the said negro man William Bowser In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 10th day of July 1805 Signed Sealed & delivered In the presence of Philip B. Key (seal) Lewis Duvall Ths Harris Jun.r on the back of the aforegoing deed was thus endorsed Viz Ann Arundel County Sc.t On this 10th day of July 1805 the above named Philip B. Key appeared before the subscriber and acknowledged the above Instrument of writing to be his Act & Deed Taken before Lewis Duvall Recorded the 11th day July 1805 |
