Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight
Sealed & Delivered in
the presence of                        John Weems   (Seal)
Archibald Dorsey
Charles Hammond

Ann Arundel County sct  On this twenty sixth day of
January in the year of our Lord 1798 personally
appeared before me subscriber one of the Justices of
the peace for the County aforesaid John Weems of the
County afores.d party to the within Instrument to be his Act
and Deed and the signature and Seal thereof annexed
to be respectively his

 Know all Men by these presents

that I Eleanor Hall of Ann Arundel
County for divers good Causes and Considerations
have and by these presents do forever manumit
set free and Discharge from my Service the
following negroes to wit, one woman named
Grace, one woman named Sall Daughter of
Grace and her children Sam, Grace & Jack
also one yellow woman named Judy her
Daughters named Beck, Milley, Judy and
Lydia and James, Kitt and Sam the children
of Beck and three women & Girls Viz.t Nanny
