21 have children in their servitude that their increase to be free as they Come of Age that is to say boys at twenty one and Girls at sixteen years hereby acknowledging the said negroes Discharged from all Claim of service & right of property whatever from me my heirs Executors or administrators As witness my hand and Seal this third day of January in the blessed year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight Signed Sealed & Acknowledged Tho.s Whittington (Seal) in the presence of William Whittington W.m Weems Ann Arundel County the third of January 1798 Then Came Thomas Whittington before me one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid & acknowledged the above Instrument of writing to be his Act & Deed according to the intent & meaning thereof Acknowledged before 2½ Saml Harrison Recorded 30 January 1798
