years from this date from me my heirs Exetrs & all other
persons claiming by from or under me.   In Witness Whereof
I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this fourteenth
day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and five

Anne Arundel County sct   On the 14th day of January
Eighteen hundred & five Came Araminta Dorsey before me the
Subscriber a Justice of the peace for County aforesaid & acknowledged
the above instrument of Writing to be her Act & Deed According
to the true intent & meaning thereof
                                     Acknowledged before

To all whom it may Concern be it known that I Anne
Rawlings of Anne Arundel County & State of Maryland for divers
good Causes & Considerations me thereunto moving as also in further
Consideration of five shillings Current money to me in
hand paid have releas.d from slavery manumitted & Set free
& by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate
manumit & Set free my negro man named David being
of the age of Forty Six years & able to Wake & gain a Sufficient
livelihood & maintainance & him the said negro
