          Maryland sc.t   Know all men by these presents
that I John Brown of Rich.d of Anne Arundel County State
of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto
moving do hereby declare (immediately after my Death) Free
and manumitted the following negroes to wit Easter aged about
Thirty eight years and her two Children the one named Anne about
four years of age the Other named Betsey about one years of age
to be Lawfully Free immediately after my Death as aforesaid
Hereby acknowledging the above Negroes Easter Anne & Betsey
discharged from all claim of services & right of property whatever
from my heirs executors or administrators the manner and
form above mentioned  As Witness my hand and seal this
nineteenth day of November in the year eighteen hundred & four
Signed Sealed & delivered
           in the presence of

                   his                        John Brown of Rd   (seal)
    Nathaniel x Hughes
                mark            On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed sc

    Anne Arundel County sct  On the nineteenth day
of November in the year of our lord eighteen hundred & four personally
appeared before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the
peace for the County aforesaid the within named John Brown
of Richd party to the within Instrument of writing who acknowledged
the said instrument to be his act and Deed according
