aged fourteen years and four months to be free at the
age of sixteen Mary Aged nine years fifteenth
September last to be free at the Age of sixteen hereby
Acknowledging the said Negroes discharged from
all Claim of Service and right of property whatever
from me my heirs Executors Administrators As
witness my hand and Seal this 9th day of October in
the Year of our blessed Lord one thousand seven
hundred and ninety seven

Then Came William Weems before me the day & year
above written one of the Justices of the peace for the
County aforesaid and Acknowledged the above to be his

 Maryland sct.  Know all Men by

these presents that I Thomas
Jenings of the City of Annapolis and the County of Ann
Arundel for divers good Causes & Considerations me
thereunto moving do hereby Declare free manumit &
enfranchise the following Negro to wit, Jacob about
forty six years of Age to be free from this day
hereby Acknowledging the said Negro Jacob Discharged
from all Claim of Service and right of property
whatever from me my heirs Executors & Administrators
