Hellen Scott
           to
Negro Dinah
 Know all Men by these presents that

I Hellen Scott of Ann Arundel County
and State of Maryland Do manumit and set free
a Certain Negro woman Named Dinah about forty
five years old hereby Declaring the said negro
woman to be forever Discharged from all right of
ownership heretofore Claimed by me  In witness
whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand & seal
this      day of October in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and ninety seven

Ann Arundel County sct  October 10.th 1797  Then Came the
within named Hellen Scott before me one of the
Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and
acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be
her Act and Deed for the purposes therein mentioned

           to
Sundry Negroes
 Maryland sct.  To all whom these

presents shall Come  Greeting I
William Weems of Ann Arundel County in the State
aforesaid for divers good Causes & Considerations
me thereunto moving do hereby free manumit &
enfranchise the Negroes following to wit, Joseph aged
nineteen tenth of December next to be free at the age of
twenty one Will aged seventeen tenth of December
next to be free at the age of twenty one Easter
