148 to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided James Mackubin Recorded the 9.th day of July 1803 Ex.d Know all men by these presents That I Thomas Bond of Ann Arundel County for divers causes and considerations me hereunto moving have manumitted and sett free and by these presents do manumit and forever sett free from me my heirs executors and administrators a negro man named Nick formerly owned by M.rs Hannah Wright with whom I intermarried and who by an instrument of writing under hand and seal dated 30th May 1780 discharged or attempted to discharge and set free said Nick but as doubts are raised with respect to said discharge and I being willing to remove them these presents are ^by^ me executed this 10.th day of July 1803 Test Thomas Bond (seal) John Burgess Zachariah Musgrove On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to Wit Moun Gomrey County to wit On the 10th day of July 1803 appeared Thomas Bond before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed acknowledged before & certified by John Burgess Recorded 3.rd August 1803 |
