139 That on this sixth day of April personally came and appeared Randolph Brandt Latimer, party to the within instrument of writing before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before Lewis Duvall Recorded 20 April 1803 Ex.d Maryland sc To all whom these presents shall come greeting I Jurningham Drury of Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare free manumit and enfranchize the negroes following to wit. Dinah aged about seventeen years to be free on the first day of March Eighteen hundred and seventeen and all her increase to be free as follows males at the age of Twenty one and females at the age of Twenty five Sarah aged about one year to be free on the first day of march Eighteen Hundred and Twenty seven hereby acknowledging the said negroes discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatever from me my heirs |
