137 On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Ann Arundel County to wit Be it remembered that on this seventeenth day of March Eighteen hundred and Three personally appears Augustine Gambrill party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided James Mackubin Recorded 17.th day of March 1803 Ex.d Charles County August 21 1802 I do hereby acknowledge to have received of Randolph B. Latimer by the hands of M.r James Boarman the sum of Twenty pounds current money being in full payment for a negro woman having but one Leg named Priss which said negro woman the said James Boarman sold to the said R.
