136 our lord Eighteen hundred and Three James Mackubin Robert Welch Jun.r Samuel Ridout (seal) On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Ann Arundel County Sc.t on the 3d May 1803 Then came Samuel Ridout Esq.r before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the aforegoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed James Mackubin Recorded 3 May 1803 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Augustine Gambrill of Ann Arundel County in the state of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Elinor and her the said negro woman named Elinor I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever.
