of the said John Joyce  Given under my hand and
Seal this seventh day of December in the year of our
Lord eighteen hundred and two

the presence of              Ch Carroll of Carrollton   (Seal)

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
Ann Arundel County sct   On the 7.th day of December
1802  Then Came Charles Carroll of Carrolton before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace
for the County aforesaid and Acknowledged the
aforegoing Instrument of writing to be his Act and
Deed according to the tenor intent and meaning
thereof

I James McHenry of Baltimore County in the
State of Maryland Do hereby Certify That I
purchased in the month of March Eighteen
Hundred and one of John Hesselins of the City of
Annapolis in the County of Ann Arundel and
State aforesaid Esquire a negro Girl named
Isabella for a term of service of twelve
years the said Hesselius being to file a
deed in the proper office manumitting
said Girl after the said Term of twelve
years agreeably to Law.   That while in
my service and on the Twentieth of February
last past the said Negroe Girl Isabella
