                                        Gerrard Briscoe

Charles County Sc.t  I hereby certify that Gerrard
Briscoe Gentleman before whom the above
acknowledgement appears to be have been made
and whose signature is thereto affixed was on the
day of the date thereof and still is one of the state
of Marylands Justices of the peace in and for the
County aforesaid duly commissioned and qualified
And to all whose acts as such due faith and
Credit is and ought to be given as well in
law Courts of Justice as thereout
                   In Testimony whereof I have hereto
                   subscribed my name and affixed the
    (seal)       seal of my office this twenty seventh
                   day of November in the year of our lord

Know ye that I Bennett Darnall of Portland
mannor Anne Arundel County for divers good
causes & considerations have Emancipated and
sett in full liberty and freedom the following
negroes to wit negroe Susannah William
Philip and Henry and each and every of them and
their future Increase and I the said Bennett Darnall
for myself my execut.rs and adm.rs do hereby forever
relinquish and release to the said Susannah
William Philip and Henry and each and every of
them and their and each of their children
hereafter any and all mannor of right Title
claim or demand that I have or may have
to the services of them or either of them but
that they and each of them shall and may do
and act in all things without the lett
                                           hinderance
