124 such cases made and provided I do hereby bind and oblige myself my heirs executors and administrators to well and truly maintain the said James in good and sufficient accomodations clothering diet &c in case the said James should ever become unable to do the same Either by infirmity or otherways In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Ninth day of the seventh month in the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and two Signed Sealed &.c In the presents of Thomas Norris of Tho.s (seal) John Cowenn Joseph Evans On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit; Ann Arundel County to wit; on the Ninth day of July 1802 Thomas Norris personly appeared before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to Law Lewis Duvall Recorded 9th July 1802 Ex.d To all whom these presents shall come Greeting I Rachel Stansbury of Ann Arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare free manumit and infranchise the negro following To wit one negro Girl named Genny aged fourteen years to be free the Eighth day of January anno d one |
