11 Contrary notwithstanding In witness whereof I do hereto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of May seventeen hundred and ninety seven Signed Sealed & Delivered Thomas Wilson (Seal) in the presence & with the approbation of the word "respective & the words or my Assigns or representatives being first interlined A C Hanson Chanr Robert Peters Ann Arundel County to wit, on the twenty seventh day of May seventeen hundred and ninety seven Thomas Wilson of the said County appeared before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for the said County & acknowledged the within or foregoing Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the negroes within mentioned Viz.t Charles, Benjamin, Henry, Sall, Jack, Bett and Beck to be by him manumitted and set free on the days respectively within mentioned agreeably to the tenor of the said Deed Allen Quynn Recorded 31 May 1797
have manumitted Liberated and sett free & by these presents Do manumit Liberate & set free my Negro or Mulatto Slave Jenn about three years of age late the property of Captain John Steuart Deceased & purchased by me from the Executors of said Steuart at public Sale and I do hereby acquit and |
