12 Discharge the same from all Claims & obligations of Service whatever and I do relinquish and absolutely release all right and title of property in and to the said Slave In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my Seal this thirty first day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of John Shaw (Seal) the word my in the 5 Line being first interlined James Mackubin Ann Arundel County to wit, on the 31 day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Came before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace John Shaw party to the within Deed of manumission who duly Acknowledged the same to be his proper Act according to the true intent and operation of the same and the negro Slave thereby Liberated to be henceforth entirely free and exempt from service acknowledged before James Mackubin Recorded 31 May 1797
County and State aforesaid for divers good Causes me thereunto moving do emancipate and at full & free |
