On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t
Anne Arundel County sct  On the sixth day of
February one thousand Eight Hundred and two
Philemon Spencer personally appeared
before me the subscriber one of the Justices
of the peace for the County aforesaid and
acknowledged the within instrument of
writing to be his act and deed according
to the true intent and meaning thereof
and according to Law

Know all men by these presents That I
Thomas Hewitt of the City of Annapolis for
various considerations me hereunto moving
do hereby release manumit and forever
set free Fanny Osborn and Christopher
Osborn their freedom to commence
from the date hereof   Witness my hand
and seal this Tenth day of February 1802
