assembly in such cases made and provided
                                acknowledged before

I Philemon Spencer of the County of Anne
Arundel in the State of Maryland do hereby
set free from bondage my negroe man
named Lane aged Twenty Eight years to be
free on the twenty fifth day of December
in the year of our lord one thousand Eight
hundred and five  And do also set free my
negroe man named Joe aged about
Twenty two years he the said Joe to be free
on the twenty fifth day of December Anno
Domini one thousand Eight Hundred
and Ten and do for myself my executors
and administrators release unto the said
Lane and Joe all my right and all claim
whatsoever as to their person or to any estate
they may require hereby declaring the said
Lane and Joe after the expiration of the
above terms absolutely free without any
interruption from me or any person or
persons whatsoever claiming under me
In witness whereof I the said Philemon
Spencer have hereunto set my hand and
seal this sixth day of February in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and Two
