104 to be her act agreeable to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such Cases made and provided this first day of January Eighteen hundred and two 4½ Recorded 16th Jany 1802 Walter Worthington Ex.d I Richard Talbot of Ann Arundel County State of Maryland do hereby set free from bondage the following negroes viz my negro Man Cæsar on the 25th of December seventeen hundred and ninety six my negro Ben on October 20.th Eighteen hundred and twelve; my negro Eliza on March 16.th Eighteen hundred and nine and do for myself my heirs executors and administrators release unto the above named negroes all my right and all claims whatsoever as to their persons or to any estate they may acquire hereby declaring the said negroes absolutely and unconditionally free at the above mentioned periods without any Interruption by or from or any person claiming under me In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two Signed Sealed &c In the presence of Rich.d Talbott (seal) |
