102 set my hand and affixed my seal this Twenty fourth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and one Signed Sealed and delivered In the presence of us Mary Callahan (seal) James Mackubin Frederick Mackubin On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one hundred Dollars current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Witness Mary Callahan James Mackubin Anne Arundel County sc.t Be it remembered, that on this 24th day of December Eighteen hundred and one personally appears Mary Callahan party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro women within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to her or to any claiming under her and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before Recorded 28 December 1801 James Mackubin Ann Arundel County State of Maryland ss.t Know all men by these presents that I Ann Howard of the County and state of s.d being consious to myself that the holding of my fellow men in perpetual bondage and Slavery is contrary to the word of God and the unallienable right of mankind therefore for |
