101 whatsoever from me my heirs executors, administrators or assigns from and after the expiration of the time and after the date aforesaid In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28 day of January 1802 Witness present Jn.o Gibson (seal) Allen Quynn Joseph Evans On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t On the 28th day of Jany 1802 personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid John Gibson party to the above instrument of writing who acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and the signature and seal thereto annexed to be respectively his Recorded 29 Jany 1802 Allen Quynn To all whom it may concern be it known That I Mary Callahan of Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration one hundred Dollars current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my two negro women Rachel and Lucy and the said two negro women I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set |
