Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Philis
Williams aged about twenty seven years about five
feet one Inch high brown Complexion has a small
scar on the left cheek is one of the persons manumitted
by William J Goldsborough by deed dated the seventh
day of august in the year one thousand Eight
hundred and thirty two and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 29 day of march 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Christina
Robing aged about thirty Eight years about four feet and
one half Inch high dark Complexion has a scar on the right
side of the face near the right nostril is one of the persons
manumitted by Elijah Pennington by deed dated the twenty
first day of march in the year Eighteen  hundred and
twenty five and that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 10 day of April 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Harriet Hennsley aged about eighteen years about five
feet high black complexion has a small scar on
the nose was free born and that she was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 28 day of april 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
