Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer
hereof named John Darkins aged about twenty
six years about five feet four and a half inches
high yellow complexion has no perceptible
marks is one of the persons manumitted by Aaron
Welch by deed dated the seventh day of June in the
year Eighteen hundred and twenty and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 20th day of March 1841


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby cer I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby Certify that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named William Smith Price aged about thirteen years
about four feet six Inches high light Complexion has
a small mole on the upper lip near the ^right^ Corner of the
mouth straight dark hair was free born, and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 30 day of march 1841


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Charles Cain aged about
sixteen years about five feet two inches high brown
Complexion has a scar on the upper lip, was free
born and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 31 day of march 1841
