47 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Pegg aged about sixteen years about five feet high of a black complexion with a small scar upon the forehead over the right Eye, and two other small scars upon the right hand is the same person manumitted by Susanna Lane by deed dated the ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fourteen; and that the said negro Pegg was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 9.th day of July 1814 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a yellow man named Henry Folks aged about twenty six years about five feet five inches high of a light complexion no perceptible marks was born free and that the said Henry Folks was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 10.th day of January 1815 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro boy named Thomas Caine aged about sixteen years about five feet three and one half inches high of a brown complexion with a small scar over the right eye and another upon the breast was free born and that the said negro boy Thomas Caine was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 7.th day of March 1815 |
